# Pagination Filters & Sorting

This page explains how to fetch large result sets efficiently and deterministically across both regions (EU/JP).

## Pagination model

We use **cursor-based pagination** for stable, scalable iteration over large datasets.

### Request parameters

| Name | Type | Default | Notes |
| - | - | - | - |
| `limit` | number | 100 | Max per plan (see *Rate Limits & Pricing*). Higher `limit` increases **request weight**. |
| `cursor` | string | - | Opaque token from the previous response's `nextCursor`. Treat as an **opaque string**. |
| `sort` | string | `ts:desc` | Sorting field and direction. Allowed: `ts:desc`, `ts:asc`. |

### Response fields

| Field | Type | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `data` | array | The current page of results. |
| `nextCursor` | string \| null | Use to fetch the **next** page. `null` means end of results. |
| `hasMore` | boolean | Convenience flag (equivalent to `nextCursor != null`). |
| `count` | number | Number of items in `data` (optional). |

> **Opaque cursor:** do not try to parse or construct the cursor; always reuse the token returned by the API.

### Example (POST body: historical slice)

```json theme={null}
{
  "type": "historicalOrders",
  "user": "0x8fcc8f55d7a8cdaee770a9e4112725d4a2c60492",
  "limit": 500,
  "cursor": null,
  "sort": "ts:desc",
  "filters": {
    "pair": "BTC/USDT",
    "since": "2025-08-01T00:00:00Z",
    "until": "2025-08-31T23:59:59Z",
    "side": ["buy","sell"]
  }
}
```
